Cafeteria: Pasta Bake with Side Caesar Salad or Garlic Bread
Tickets will be available all this week at break in the lobby.
If you missed the yearbook launch, then you pick up your already-purchased yearbook from Madame Labelle (downstairs house 8) today at morning break. If you haven’t yet bought a yearbook but would like to, then bring your $32 to the lobby at lunch today or Friday. Don’t wait – only a limited supply remains.
All library books have to be in, no later than this Friday. There is a total of 400 library books to be returned ASAP. Get checking your lockers, kit bags, bedrooms, under your bed, etc. We can not afford to lose close to $5000 in books. We need to make an extra effort to get them back.
All band and strings students: are reminded that instruments must be handled and stored carefully in the band set-up room. Please ensure that cases are placed on the shelves carefully and that latches are closed to prevent damage to the instruments.
To the string students who had a wonderful concert last evening. You should all be proud of your accomplishments!
Stonepark Volleyball Club:
Girls Volleyball Club has a workout today at 3:00 until 4:30. All grade 7 & 8 girls are welcome to attend regardless of experience.
To Karleigh McEwen and Kathryn Woods on their recent performance in the provincial golf championships. Karleigh shot a 49 to finish in second place and Kathryn shot a 55 to finish fourth. Great job, girls.
Girls Flag Football
The girls flag football team played very well yesterday earning a provincial silver medal. In the semi final game, Stonepark defeated SIS#2 team 25-12.
Stonepark next went up against a very tough SIS#1 girls team in the final. The girls tried their best and never gave up playing their hardest until the end only to lose the final game. I want to thank the girls for their commitment and hard work all season – a great group of girls to coach!
Boys Flag Football
The Stonepark 1 boys flag football team play today in the provincials. The boys play SIS#2 at 3:45pm and then play in the medal round at 4:30pm. Both games are the Cornwall turf. The boys are asked to be excused from class at 2:50pm to get ready to catch taxis by the gym at 3pm.
Our girls softball team travelled to Summerside yesterday to compete in the Provinical tournament. Our girls lost only one regular season game heading into the semi final game. The girls played Summerside in this game, but Summerside came out on top. Kailey Koughan pitched the game. Top batters were Maria Mahar & Mariah Meston. In the bronze medal game Kailey Koughan again pitched but the girls could not pull out the win in a 11-9 loss. Tori Kinney & Destiny Stewart were top batters.
Kailey Koughan should be recognized for her consistent pitching and helping to take her team to the provincials. Best of luck to the graduating players – Emily McIsaac, Kailey Koughan, Taylor Henry, Emma Dougan, Maria Mahar, Mariah Meston, Destiny Stewart. Also a big thank you to our coaches Jodi & Glen Kinney.
