Wed. Day 5

1. Cafeteria Special: Hot Chicken Sandwich with mashed potato and
veggies or fries
2. Our girls field hockey team added some much needed pressure in
the second half of the game to secure a 1-0 victory over Montague
last night. The team started off slowly, but turned up the effort
in the second half. Abbey MacLellan made a mid field rush, and
made no mistake on the shot to beat Montague’s goalie, putting us
in the lead. Great goal and great individual effort by Abby.
Jacklyn MacKinnon was solid in net, as she made “alot” of
excellent saves to keep Stonepark on top. Way to go girls. The
team should be ready to go by 3:05 to UPEI for today’s practice.
3. Congratulations to the Stonepark AA boys volleyball team for
defeating the East Wiltshire boys 3 sets to 1. The boys will

Charlotte 3 games to 0. The scores were: 25-13, 25-5, 25-19.

until 3:45. Could girls please be excused from class 5 minutes
6. The Stonepark Girls AA girls soccer team improved their record to
2-1 with a 1-0 shutout over Birchwood last night. Juli
MacMillan scored her first goal of the season at the 33 minute
mark. Drew MacKeigan, Carley Connell, Maeve MacNally, Taylor
Monoghan, and Oryssya Ellis all played very strong offensively
and had many opportunities to put the game out of reach.
Christina Lourenso, Kali Ross, Emma Bradley, and Maddy
MacInnis played strong in the backfield to shut down any attempt
by Birchwood to score. Rookies Julia Cantelo, Laura Burge,
Jessie Leslie, Kamren Chaisson, and Nicole Derry all played
strong and showed how they can make opponents dizzy with their
skill and teamwork. Bailey Walker played well in her second
shutout of the season. Great work girls.
7. The Boys Soccer Team defeated Birchwood 7 – 0. Scoring for
Stonepark was: James Foster, Isaac Costain, Jake Deighan, Alex
Hambly, Riley Dunphy, Connor Graves and Noah Bitar. Another
shutout by Blake Dejong.
