Wednesday, Day 4

2. Girls Field Hockey: Our girls field hockey team was successful last night as they defeated Summerside Intermediate 7-0. Sarah Steele opened the scoring and Maddy Koughan and Charlee Holden added one each in the first half to bring the Tigers 3-0 at the half. Maddy Koughan, Karleigh McEwen, Amelia Jenkins and Abby MacLellan each added a goal to bring the total to 7 before the game ended. Jacklyn MacKinnon recorded the shut out. The team continues to improve each game and coaches are very pleased with their efforts.

3. Boys volleyball: Boys volleyball team play at East Wiltshire today at 4pm. Boys are asked to be ready to catch their taxis by the gym at 3:10pm.
4. Girls AA Soccer: Girls AA soccer team lost to Queen Charlotte 6-1 last night. Taylor Monoghan scored her first goal of the season on a pretty pass from Oryssya Ellis. Queen Charlotte were well prepared and controlled the play for the entire game.
5. Girls Volleyball Team: The girls volleyball team was narrowly defeated 3 games to 2 by Birchwood. The girls won their first two games 25-9, 25-20 but lost the next 3 by 26-24, 25-17, 15- 8. Practice will be canceled due to the weather.
6. Thanksgiving Dinner: This Friday, the cafeteria will be offering a Thanksgiving Dinner – Roast Turkey with Cranberry Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Gray, Savory Stuffing, Garden Vegetables, Brownie and white milk for $5.50.
7. The girls ‘A’ soccer team lost a 4-3 nail biter last night. The game wasn’t decided until the last minute of play with Montague coming out on top. Goals by Sam Gallant-MacNiel, Lindsay Burgoyne and Ellie Langston. Excellent offence play was also generated by Clara Ready, Ally MacKenzie and Tori Fitzpatrick. As always, CiCi Clarke was the backbone of the team. Next game Tuesday, October 11 at Stonepark. Come on out and support your ‘A’ team.
