DRAGONS’ DEN:  Will be holding open auditions in Charlottetown on Thursday, March 15th and they are looking for young entrepreneurs to participate in CBC’s hit TV show. The DRAGONS’ DEN team is crisscrossing Canada in search of the best and brightest students with businesses, ideas, unique websites, and innovative products to take on the Dragons. No experience is necessary – more information can be picked up in the main office.
Paper Plane Throwing:  On Wednesday February 29th. there will be a paper air plane throwing contest from the balcony in the main lobby. Students interested in participating can purchase paper next week on Monday and Tuesday at lunch from the guidance office. Each sheet of paper to make the plane cost $2.00 Winner gets a gift certificate to Empire Theatres. Proceeds go to the Stonepark Gives Back Fund.
Photography Club:  The Photography Club will meet Friday – Day 5 at 12:35.  Guest speaker Kathy Jenkins will be here. All members are asked to come.
Pascal Math Contest: Grade 9 students writing the Pascal math contest are asked to meet in the cafeteria following the announcements.  Please bring all necessary supplies  and please consult with your period 1 and 2 teachers.
Dodgeball: The first annual Stonepark Gives Back dodgeball tournament is set to begin tomorrow with the grade 7 boys /coed tournament. Home room teachers have been given registration sheets and information on the event or you can see Mrs. Steele or Mr. MacAdam for more details. All grade 7 participants are asked to have registration sheets in to Mrs. Steele by reading period today and all players in tomorrow’s tournament are asked to meet in the gym at reading period to review the rules of the tournament.
Stonepark Gives Back Fund Raiser: Mr Shellington’s class 7I has organized a skate for all interested grade 7’s on Tuesday afternoon. Cost is $2.00. The skate will take place at the Cody Banks arena. We will leave the school shortly after 1:00 and return for dismissal.  You must have skates and a helmet to participate. Those not going to the skate will attend regular classes. Please sign up with your home room teacher.
Badminton Tryouts : Will continue after school tomorrow (Friday) for all grade 7 and 8 boys who made it through the first round of tryouts.  Tryouts will run from 3:00-4:30.  Any grade 7 or 8 boys who missed tryouts are welcome to come tomorrow, but please sign up first with Mr. Chaisson.  Anyone who cannot make it must let Mr. Chaisson know today as well.
Bake Sale: 9J will be having a bake sale in the lobby today at breaktime to support the Stonepark Gives Back Campaign.
Do You Have Any Spare Pennies:  That you would like to donate to Stonepark Gives Back. 8B is doing a penny drive and would love your spare change. You can drop off your pennies to Mrs. Curley’s classroom, upstairs in house 8.
Do You Want To Try a Fun Game:
All money collected will be going to Stonepark Gives Back – to help Cancer Research.  9K will be hosting a Dart Game today @ 12:15 in the lobby and the cost will be $1.00 for three throws.  This offer is open to all students and staff as well.
Jazz Band Rehearsal: There will be a jazz band rehearsal after school today.  Mr. Parsons and jazz students from Charlottetown Rural will be visiting so please let Mrs. Peters know if you are not able to attend for any reason.
There will be a grade 9 early morning band rehearsal tomorrow morning from 7:45-8:35 to prepare for the Stonepark Gives Back band and strings concert next Thursday evening.  Please see Mrs. Peters today if you will not be able to attend.
Acoustic Jam Session:   There will be an Acoustic Jam Session today at 12:15 – 1:15 in the Gig Room. Starting next week the Jam Session will go again on Monday and Friday’s same time and same place.
