Badminton Tryouts: Badminton players, there has been a change in the schedule this week due to a conflict.  Grade 9 Girls and Boys will continue tryouts Thursday (tomorrow) after school from 3-4:45. Grade 8 Girls and Boys will continue tryouts Friday after school from 3-4:45.
Wrestling: The Stonepark Wrestling Team currently trains on Mondays from 6:00 – 7:30 in the school cafeteria. However, they will start training on Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 – 5:30 starting this Wednesday, and this will continue up to the school wrestling championships. Any students interested in joining the club may still do so. If interested, please leave your name in the main office, or contact Ian Burhoe in 8J
Stonepark Staff/Student Hockey Game: The annual Stonepark Staff Student Hockey Game is coming up next Thursday. All grade 9 boys and girls interested in playing are to sign up on the sheet outside Mr Campbell’s office. The deadline to sign up is Friday at noon.  10 girls and 10 boys will be picked to play in the game plus 3 goalies. The student team will be posted on Monday! The teacher’s team is taking shape and they are ready to keep their undefeated record going this year! Be listening for future announcements for the Teacher roster, rumour has it they have one of their best teams ever!  Any grade 9’s who referee and would be interested in referring the game are asked to give their name to Mr Aiken by Friday.
PEI Band Days: Congratulations to the grade 9 band students on their performance yesterday at PEI band days. The students represented Stonepark very well and received positive feedback from the adjudicators.
Congratulations to all band students on their excellent performances at recent concerts!
Please note that Jazz band rehearsals are now finished for this term and rehearsals will begin again after March Break. The last grade 7 full band rehearsal before March Break will be held on Friday, March 9 at the usual time.
Skiing Champion: Congrats to Kelly McCardle 7A,  for getting  4 silver medals one for each of the 4 hosted events including Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G, and Kombi (combined Super G/Slalom) events at the Atlantic Skiing championships in Newfoundland this past weekend. She is #2 in Atlantic Canada and is invited to participate in the K1 CanAm races to be held in Sugarloaf, Maine in April. This race will be attended by the best racers in the New England states, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada! Great job Kelly!
Stonepark Girls Volleyball:  There will be no girls volleyball today, next practice is on Thurs.
Phys Ed: Still looking for A basketball uniforms.  Please bring your uniform to Mrs. Steele today!! Any grade 9  girls interested in playing in a volleyball spring league at Chtown Rural are asked to see Mrs. Steele for more information.
All field hockey players or girls who would like to play field hockey this summer are asked to see Mrs. Steele at morning break in the gym.
