Youth In Uganda: Recently there has been a story that has spread across Youtube, Facebook , and Twitter about Joseph Kony and what has happened to youth in Uganda, a story that has evoked a lot of emotions in many young people today. If you are interested in learning more about this story, you can go to our school website and find the link that will take you to the story on Youtube.
Pancake Breakfast: Habitat for Humanity and East Royalty Lions Club will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 24th. at Malcolm J. Darrach Community Center.
Girls Volleyball Practice:  There will be no practice Today
The Pownal Bantam AAA Red Devils:  Are in the midst of the playoffs and Game 3 is Thursday night in Pownal at 7:40.  The team has decided to lead a project to which they will ‘give back to the local Food Bank’.  Admission is by donation of food or money.  Proceeds from the 50/50 will also go directly to the Food Bank.  Team captain, Johnny Larter, was interviewed about the event this morning on CBC and this will air throughout Wed and Thursday promoting the project.  Good luck, boys!
Stonepark’s Winter Carnival: Will take place this Friday. Come out and start your March Break with a fun filled day of activities: ski boarding, golf ball relay, toilet paper dress design, arm wrestling, tug of war, and the always favorite Fear Factor. There will also a sock hop in the gym from 1:00- 2:55. The sock hop is free of charge and will have a St. Patrick’s Day theme. Get out your favorite shades of green and start March Break in style!
Staff Student Hockey Game: All players participating in the Staff Student Hockey Game this afternoon should meet in the lobby at 12:30 today. A reminder to all students going to the game that the canteen will not be open today and that the upstairs area of the Cody Banks Arena will be closed to all students this afternoon!
Band Announcement:Grade 9 band students are reminded that the final payment for the band and strings trip to Halifax is due before March Break.  Please check the band blog for payment details. Would jazz band members please meet Mrs. Peters in the band room at reading period for a very short meeting.
Library Books: There is still a number of outstanding overdue library books.  Make sure these overdues are returned or paid for prior to receiving report cards.
