The International Parenting Survey – Canada (IPS-C) is a project which
has the potential to enhance services for local parents of children
from 2 – 12 years of age. Researchers from across Canada are now
conducting an online survey as part of an international initiative to
collect and analyze data on needs for and preferences for parent
support. We are coordinating efforts here on Prince Edward Island.
The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes for parents to complete,
• the prevalence of child emotional and behavioural problems;
• attitudes about parenting;
• the relationship between service use and child behavior; and
• preferences for delivery of parenting services according to parental
