Stonepark Gives Back 2012-13: The finalists for Stonepark Gives Back 2012-13 have been made. Teachers are reminded to share background information for IWK, Children’s Wish, Wadeng (Jacob Deng’s movement in Africa), and The Humane Society, on the lcd’s with students during Reading Period. The school wide vote (students and staff) will be held this Friday December 14th, during Reading, and we will announce the winners shortly thereafter. Thanks for your assistance with this worthwhile venture.
Stonepark’s Got Talent: Reminder to students, if interested in putting an act in the annual Stonepark’s Got Talent, forward your name(s) to Mrs. Gallant, lower floor Grade 8 or to Mrs. Smith, lower floor House 7. The act can be of any variety: singing, dancing, acrobatics, lip sync, comedy routine, etc.
Library: Today we welcome CBC’s Bruce Rainnie to our school. He will be speaking to students in the library periods 3&4 as part of Read In.
Cross Country Fun Hunt: “Lacey Koughan has made it into the top 3 for CBC’s Cross country fun hunt! She needs your votes more than ever now! (I WILL LET YOU KNOW TOMORROW HOW WE WILL SUPPORT HER) If Lacey wins this last phase of the contest, ALL OF PEI will be invited to a free concert with Victoria Duffield and Camp rock star Jordan Francis in March”. Band: Concert Announcements:
1. There will be a grade 7 full band rehearsal today in the band room
during Period 2. Grade 8 Percussionists are also asked to attend.
2. All Jazz Band members are asked to please come to the band
room at 12:30 to assist with the concert set-up.
3. All band students will be called to the gym during reading period
for the concert rehearsal. Please wait for your grade level to be
called. Please pick up your instruments in the band area, and
bring them to the gym in the cases. All students are then asked
to sit in the middle section of bleachers, to wait for
4. Band students who were waiting for replacement sweaters are
asked to please see Mrs. Peters in the band room immediately
5. Volunteers needed! Band students who would like to volunteer to
collect donations at the door tonight from 6:15-7:00 are asked to
see Mrs. Peters a.s.a.p. We are also looking for a student who
would be interested in videotaping the concert. Please see Mrs.
